> GENERAL INFORMATION
The Province of La Pampa is one of the youngest states of the Argentinian Republic, it was politically recognized in 1952.
It is located in the center of the country, it has the latest characterizations of the "humid pampas" - in the northwest - and the distinctive signs of the Patagonia, in the greatest part of the rest of the territory, and it forms a geographic hinge that people from La Pampa transforms into a bridge of solidarity, integrating our country.
It has a surface of 143.440 Km2 that represents 6% of the country. It has 307.839 inhabitants and it is divided in 22 departments. At this moment the growth is gradual, reverting the population expeller process, that characterized the province in last decades.
Its limits are:
North: Provinces of Mendoza, San Luis and Córdoba.
South: Provinces of Río Negro.
East: Provinces of Buenos Aires.
West: Provinces of Mendoza.
